The Five Domains include all the information you will need to reach your personal best for lifelong mental vitality and brain health.
What are the Five Domains?
We have found over 100 factors that impact mental function based on a comprehensive review of current research on brain function and fitness. All of these variables can be grouped into one of five areas - we call them the Five Domains of Mind Longevity. These Domains are the rules that govern your lifetime cognitive fitness.
The Five Domains of Mind Longevity are:
- Go Mental
- Get Physical
- Get Connected
- Address Stress
- Take Care of Business

1. Go Mental includes the mental, cognitive, or intellectual activities (or lack thereof!) and certain emotional/stress factors that may impact your mental function and brain longevity. |

2. Get Physical outlines in detail the many physical components of your mental fitness and ability. These include a number of medical conditions, nutrition, exercise, exposure to brain toxins and other factors that have a lot to do with how well or poorly your brain works. Mind and body cannot be separated! |

3. Get Connected speaks to the importance of being connected or "in tune" with yourself and others for a healthy mind at all stages of life. Your relationship with yourself, your friends and your family have a powerful effect on your brain vitality and overall quality of life. |

4. Address Stress reveals stresses in your life that may cause brain strain and dullness. Certain factors in this domain may determine whether or not you cope with stress in a way that is beneficial for maximum mental sharpness as you grow older. |

5. Take Care of Business helps you understand aspects of your job, legal issues, and finances that may be either helping or hurting the inner workings of your mind and brain. |
